How to Find Rehabilitators in Your Area

GCWR’s area of operation is limited to certain coastal Texas townships. If you live outside of these areas, you will need to find rehabilitators local to you. Here are a few suggestions to guide you:

1. State Wildlife Agencies

ALABAMA	Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources
LOUISIANA	Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries
MISSISSIPPI	Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks

2. Local Veterinarian

If the state agencies aren’t able to help you, then a local veterinarian might. Some vets are willing treat wildlife or can direct you local organizations that can.

4. Game Warden

Game Wardens, also known as Conservation Officers, are commissioned law enforcement officers involved with wildlife preservation, control of wildlife problems, and enforcement of fish and game laws. Refer to the state wildlife agencies listed above to begin your search.
